TWO South Africans will soon attempt to set a new Guinness Book of Records distance mark for riding a motorcycle through a tunnel of fire. The attempt will take place at Tarlton Raceway on 21 March 2011 afetr the first leg of the South Africa National Drag Championships.
The current world record stands at 60,96 metres, set by American stuntman Clint Ewing on a Suzuki Superbike in Los Angeles on January 27, 2008. South Africans Enrico Schoeman and Andre’ de Kock will tackle a 100-metre long fire tunnel, riding a Kawasaki-powered Australian racing motorcycle and sidecar combination.
